Step-by-step procedure

1

Wipe the stoppers with alcohol

Use 70% isopropyl alcohol and let dry for 10–15 seconds.

2

Draw BAC water

Draw the calculated volume of bacteriostatic water using sterile material.

3

Inject onto the wall

Slowly inject the solvent onto the inner wall — do not aim directly at the lyophilized cake.

4

Wait and swirl gently

Wait 30–60 seconds and swirl the vial. Do not shake vigorously.

5

Verify dissolution

The solution must appear clear and free of visible particles.

6

Label and refrigerate

Record date and concentration; store at 2–8°C per protocol.

Frequently asked questions about reconstitution

+What type of water is used for reconstitution?

Sterile bacteriostatic water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. For short-term analysis, sterile water may be used under the validated protocol.

+How is a reconstituted solution stored?

Label with date and concentration and refrigerate at 2–8°C, avoiding vigorous agitation and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

+Does the calculator recommend dosing?

No. It only converts units for RUO technical work; it does not provide therapeutic instructions or human-use recommendations.
